Remember Who You Are

One of my favorite Disney movies of all time is The Lion King. In one of the scenes, Mufasa basically tells Simba to remember who he is. He is the son of a king.

In the same way, when we lose our way, lose trust, or lose hope in the One who made the heavens and the earth, God will nudge us to remember.

I have been shown that although we want to live for Christ, Christ acknowledges how hard it is to live this life without Him—how easy it is to stray off the road and, little by little, move away from obedience. God will stretch out His hand in the most subtle ways, numerous times, to remind us to remember that we are His sons and we are His daughters.

We must stand back up and take our rightful place in His Kingdom, and that is being by His side.

I just truly thank God for the experience of knowing that He is able to not let us go off the edge a little too much. He will remind us of who we are and, most importantly, whose we are.
