Your Righteous Reward

We live in a world where if you work hard, you will reap the benefits. If you work hard, you will achieve greatness. You will achieve this highest ceiling that you cannot break.

Here's the thing: what if your reward is endlessness, nothingness, and emptiness?

Imagine putting in all those hours at work. Imagine spending all of that quality time. Imagine giving all of you, and in the end, feeling as if you are an empty shell, wishing that your life should have gone in a whole different direction.

Here's the thing: Jesus is your reward. He is your righteous reward.

Let's go a little deeper.

Walking this life with Christ is the hardest thing to do in this life. However, walking without Him is even worse.

As you go through the motions in life, as you speak with people who don't like you, interact with people who judge you, the one thing that should be in the back of your mind is, Jesus is my reward.

At least you've got Someone to go to. At least you have Truth to fall on every single time. At least when you go and lay your knees at the bottom of that bed each night, Jesus is your comfort, joy, and peace.

At least when everyone is against you, guess who's loving on you real hard?

Jesus.

Exactly.

Stop thinking that your reward is this grand scale of materialistic items or this grand purpose that everybody's been talking about.

No.

It's in the little moments.

When you feel like you can't go on, Jesus is right there.

It is through Him that we are made righteous by His blood.

So receive it. Grab it. It's free anyway.

It's nothing you have to work hard for.

Your righteous reward is Him—with open arms, listening ears, and a sanctuary of everlasting peace.
